A remarkable awareness event will be held in İzmir for Curvature of the Spine (Scoliosis), which occurs in childhood and is seen in one out of every 30 children.
Karşıyaka The “Recognize Scoliosis” Event, which will be held in Bostanlı Fine Arts Park on Sunday, June 12, at 13.00, in cooperation with the Municipality of İzmir Katip Çelebi University, Faculty of Health Sciences, Department of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation, aims to raise awareness of this disease in the society.
FREE SCANNING FOR KIDS
Providing information about the event, Project Coordinator Specialist Physiotherapist Ebru Özdemir said that every year in June, various events are organized by specialist institutions and individuals for raising social awareness and early diagnosis.
In the "Recognize Scoliosis" event, expert speakers will have conversations where current and scientific developments will be shared.
In the event where children with scoliosis will exhibit their stage performances, there will also be a painting exhibition, posts on 'My Scoliosis Story', schroth exercises and group demonstration.
Within the scope of the event where children will be screened free of charge, the painting exhibition 'Scoliosis for Me' will also be visited.
