Signing a protocol with the Izmir Chamber of Bakers and Craftsmen on March 1, Izmir Metropolitan Municipality delivered 3 million breads to low-income people in 9 months and 15 million since January. İzmir Metropolitan Municipality increased the number of bread sales kiosks from 62 to 71. It is aimed to increase the number of buffets to 75 by the end of June.

Idle capacity was brought into production with Halk Ekmek

With the protocol, the bread factories, which started to produce quality and healthy bread of the same standard in line with the recipe of the Izmir Metropolitan Municipality, brought their idle capacities back into production. İzmir Metropolitan Municipality, which produces 135 thousand breads a day at the People's Bread Factory in Çiğli, doubled its supply capacity.
