Headquartered in Brussels, the organization has offices in 16 countries including Europe, America, China, Iran, India and Turkey.

Istanbul won the race to host with Amsterdam and Los Angeles for the 112th Bus Committee meeting this year, and hosts 25 senior executives from 50 different countries, including Japan, Canada, America and many European countries. With the Bus Committee meetings, IETT carries its global public transportation experiences in Istanbul. Likewise, IETT, which organizes more than 50 thousand trips every day, will share its bus operating experience and Metrobus system knowledge with the world.

At the meeting held on the first day, an introductory presentation was made to the participants by İETT Deputy General Manager İrfan Demet. After the presentation, BRT (Metrobus) examples in the world were evaluated. Senior executives from IETT also attended the meeting, where the future of electric buses and battery technologies were also discussed.

IETT prepared an intense program for the events that will last until June 15th. After the members of the Bus Committee meet in the working groups in the morning, field visits will be made in the afternoon. The committee will first visit the Metrobus line. The next day, the electric vehicle system in the Islands will be examined.
