In the light of current developments in the field of artificial intelligence, the Defense Industry Artificial Intelligence Workshop was held in order to deal with all aspects of artificial intelligence in the defense industry.
More than 80 experts in the field of artificial intelligence from academia, authorities, companies and SSB participated in the Defense Industry Artificial Intelligence Workshop held at the Presidency of Defense Industries (SSB). The workshop was held within the framework of a method in which the experts answered the questions directed to them interactively with computers/tablets or phones, and also expressed their opinions orally.
In the morning sessions, the capabilities that artificial intelligence will offer in the field of defense, the defense systems it will contribute to, the problem areas/difficulties/obstacles in the use of artificial intelligence and the most priority issues for artificial intelligence transformation were discussed with the inputs of the experts. In the afternoon, the needs and suggestions for the 6 focus topics that emerged in the discussions held in the morning sessions were evaluated in detail with the inputs of the experts.
The workshop ended with a presentation where the first results created with the inputs received from the experts during the workshop were shared with all the participants. It is aimed that the outputs formed at the end of the workshop will constitute an input to the Defense Industry Artificial Intelligence Strategy.
