Continuing its activities under the leadership of the Presidency of Defense Industry of the Republic of Turkey, STM Savunma Teknolojileri Mühendislik ve Tic. A.Ş. has added a new one to its domestic mini UAV deliveries, which will provide significant advantages to Mehmetçi in the field.

STM, one of Turkey's leading companies in the production of tactical mini UAVs, successfully completed the acceptance tests of the Rotary Wing Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) BOYGA Carrying Mortar Ammunition. BOYGA, which left all test stages behind, entered the inventory of the security forces.

President of the Turkish Presidency of Defense Industry Prof. Dr. İsmail Demir announced BOYGA's entry into the inventory on his social media account. Demir said, “We have added another capability to the inventory that will give Mehmetçi a great advantage on the field. The UAV BOYGA, which we developed with national resources, which can release 81 mm ammunition, successfully completed the acceptance tests and was delivered to our security forces. Good luck,” he said.

In his statement on the subject, STM General Manager Özgür Güleryüz said, “We continue to stand by our security forces at all times, with our capabilities and projects, and work non-stop for a safe tomorrow. Our UAV, BOYGA, which left ammunition, entered the inventory of our heroic security forces. BOYGA, which will strengthen our soldiers in the field of operation, may be beneficial for our country and nation. I congratulate all my colleagues who contributed to the BOYGA Project”.

Full hit with BOYGA

BOYGA, the latest member of STM's tactical mini UAV product family, drops the customized 81 mm mortar ammunition it carries on the target precisely thanks to its improved ballistic estimation algorithm. BOYGA, which can be used effectively in counter-terrorism and asymmetric warfare environments, has a 30-minute airtime with mortar ammunition. The BOYGA platform, which can reach a flight altitude of 1.500 meters, can be carried by a single private with a weight of 5 kg, in addition to serving at a range of 15 kilometers.
