Izmir Metropolitan Municipality offered the opportunity to get to know the city to young people who came to Izmir for university education with the “Young People Travel Izmir” project. 18 Young İzmir members between the ages of 30-279 participated in the free trips that started in November.
6 university students showed interest in the 300 city tours within the scope of the project carried out by the Young Izmir unit. Young people visited Kadifekale, Historical Elevator, Clock Tower, Historical Kemeraltı Bazaar, Kızlarağası Inn, Kültürpark and Istiklal Exhibition. The participation in the historical and touristic tours in the distant districts, which is the second stage of the project, was higher. 17 young people participated in 979 different trips to the ancient cities of Ephesus in Selçuk, Metropolis in Torbalı and Teos in Seferihisar, as well as to Urla.
