General Manager of Highways Abdulkadir Uraloğlu examined the restoration works of the Historical Akköprü (Kızılbey) in Ankara's Yenimahalle district on site. During the examination held on Thursday, June 16, Uraloğlu received information about the studies from the authorities.

Restoration works of the 83-meter-long historical bridge, which is known to have been built during the reign of Anatolian Seljuk Sultan Alaeddin Keykubad I, started in 2021. The bridge, which is 5 meters wide, has 7 pointed arches. The works on the bridge, which reflects the cultural, architectural and technical characteristics of the Seljuk Period, have been completed at a rate of 64 percent. The bridge restoration is expected to be completed within this year.
