Kartepe Cable Car Line Work Has Been Undersigned

The objection of Leintner and SPA partnership, which participated in the tender for the cable car line to be built in Kartepe and did not receive the tender, was rejected by the Public Procurement Authority (KİK). With the rejection of the objection, the Metropolitan invited the partnership of Grand Yapı and Doppelmayr to sign the contract. After the contract, which is expected to be signed next week, the construction of the cable car will begin.

According to the news of Süriye Çatak Tek from Özgür Kocaeli: “The objection made to the second tender of the Cable Car Project to be built in Kartepe by Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality was rejected by the Public Procurement Authority (KİK). Participating in the second tender held on 25 March, Leintner and SPA partnership appealed first to the Metropolitan and then to the GCC. Appeals from both institutions were denied. After the objections were rejected, the partnership of Grand Yapı and Doppelmayr, which won the tender, was called for the contract. Company officials are expected to complete the documents and sign the contract next week.

In the tender, which was held in March with an estimated value of 309 million 596 thousand liras, Leintner and SPA partnership offered 334 million 400 liras, and Grand Yapı and Doppelmayr partnership offered 335 million liras. The tender commission examined the documents as well as the offers submitted by both partnerships. After the investigation, the commission announced that they gave the tender to Grand Yapı and Doppelmayr. However, Leintner and SPA partnership, which did not receive the tender, objected to the tender. When the Metropolitan rejected the objection, an objection was made to the KIK. The GCC also rejected the appeal last week.

Grand Yapı and Doppelmayr partnership, which won the tender after the objection of the GCC, was invited by the Metropolitan to sign the contract. Thereupon, the company began to prepare its documents. At the same time, it was learned that the application of the company, which applied for investment incentives, was also accepted. After the company completes its documents, it is expected to come to the Metropolitan next week and sign the contract.

After the signing of the contract, the metropolitan city will deliver the site to the company within 10 days. After the company has established its construction site, it will start the construction of the ropeway project. With the cable car project, which is expected to be completed in 2023, the 50-year dream of Metropolitan Kocaeli will be realized. The cable car line that will run between Derbent and Kuzuyayla will be 4 thousand 695 meters. In the cable car project, which will include 2 stations, 10 cabins for 73 people will serve. The elevation distance on the cable car line with a capacity of 1500 people per hour will be 1090 meters. Accordingly, the starting level will be 331 meters and the arrival level will be 1421 meters. The distance between the two stations will be exceeded in 14 minutes.
