Ford Otosan Employees Are Ready for the Future with the Electric Vehicles Training Program

Ford Otosan, the pioneer of firsts in the automotive industry, is breaking new ground in the automotive trends of the future. With the Electric Vehicles Training Program, which Ford Otosan has prepared together with ITU, it will provide its employees with different levels of training on electric vehicles and carry its human resources to the future.

Ford Otosan breaks new ground by cooperating with Istanbul Technical University (ITU) in line with its vision of being the most valuable and most preferred industrial company in Turkey, and starts the Electric Vehicles Training Program for Ford Otosan employees. The program, which will be carried out jointly by ITU and Ford Otosan, will progress at the basic level and three different technical levels related to electric vehicles. Beforehand, a common language will be created by transferring information about technological developments and occupational safety in electric vehicles and batteries at Ford Otosan to ITU academicians who are experts in their fields.

Ford Otosan, which prepares its employees for the future while designing and producing new technologies, aims to develop the competencies of its employees in the transition to electric vehicle technologies in the automotive industry. Ford Otosan, which has made large investments in the production of electric vehicles, battery production and other electrification with its pioneering vision, will raise awareness within the company and train expert talents with the Electric Vehicles Training Program.

Ford Otosan General Manager Güven Özyurt: “We are preparing our colleagues for the future with this program”

Stating that the Electric Vehicles Training Program is a result of Ford Otosan's mission to lead the electric transformation of the automotive industry, Ford Otosan General Manager Güven Özyurt stated that they will also lead the way in developing human resources and preparing them for the future.

Ozyurt; “We will ensure the sustainability of the design, product development and production processes in our sector by supporting the career processes of our colleagues, while investing in production within the framework of our cooperation with ITU, while realizing our electric, connected new generation commercial vehicle projects in the automotive industry.

We have always aimed to benefit the society with the products and services we have developed. We have always brought the technologies of the future together with our customers as a pioneer in our sector. We will continue to invest, produce and provide our employees with competencies by foreseeing the future evolution of the automotive industry before anyone else.”

250 years of knowledge of ITU

Drawing attention to the 250 years of knowledge of Istanbul Technical University, ITU Rector Prof. Dr. İsmail Koyuncu, “Istanbul Technical University, which presents the most important examples of university-industry cooperation in our country, continues its studies in different fields with an interdisciplinary method, with the awareness of its role as the locomotive it has undertaken in industrialization.” said.

prof. Dr. Koyuncu continued his words as follows: “With the Electric Vehicles Training Program that started between Ford Otosan and ITU, we will try to convey our knowledge and field experience on electric vehicle and battery technologies. Thanks to this program, where we will convey information that requires advanced expertise as well as basic knowledge about the field, we will have the opportunity to observe the current needs of the sector and we will have the opportunity to work and think about new technologies as an R&D center.”

Ford Otosan will create a pool of experts

Ford Otosan employees become ready for the future with the Electric Vehicles Training Program, which is designed as an end-to-end structure and developed with the opinions of product development, design, testing, verification, production, new projects and training & development teams. While the technical common language and basic information on electric vehicle and battery technologies are explained at the basic level, trainings for different purposes were designed for each level in the 3-phase program for engineers and field workers.

According to the Electric Vehicles Training Program, at Level 1, participants will learn the main concepts of electric vehicles and battery systems, as well as gain knowledge about design, production stages and vehicle data collection. Deepening their expertise at Level 2, participants will receive training for testing, validation, design and production of electric vehicles and batteries on electric vehicles and batteries. In Level 3, which aims to create a pool of experts and create graduate candidates, the participants will become competent in the fields of systems engineering, electrical machinery, power electronics and vehicle thermal management system.
