Nature lovers, who gathered at the summit for a clean Erciyes, cleaned the environment as part of the 'Blue & Green Day in Erciyes' event. In the event attended by 300 people, 4.8 tons of waste was collected.
Kayseri Erciyes Inc. 'A Blue & Green Day in Erciyes', which is made traditional and organized every year, was held this year on Saturday, June 11, 2022, on the occasion of World Environment Day.
The activity, carried out with the slogan "Hand in hand for a clean Erciyes", was realized with the support of Kayseri Metropolitan Municipality, Kocasinan Municipality, Melikgazi Municipality, Kaytur, Kayseri Transportation Inc., non-governmental organizations, sports clubs and nature lovers with environmental awareness.
Environmental volunteers, who came together in Tekir Kapı area at 2.200 meters, were divided into different groups; tent camping area, tracks, daily picnic area and field cleaning in the tabby pond area. In the event attended by 300 people, 4,8 tons of waste was collected.
In this activity, which contributed to the formation of environmental awareness in children, kindergarten students both cleaned and had fun. Then, dipping their hands in the paint can, the children made a hand print on the walls and created colorful patterns with their tiny hands.
After the program, all participants who attended the event were presented with a Ball Velvet flower in memory of the day.

Although our municipalities, especially Metropolitan, Melikgazi and Hacılar municipalities, constantly collect the pollution and waste here, the wastes left to the environment because our mountain has become a living space; It gets dirty due to factors such as wind type, wind and creates a bad image. We, as volunteers, as mountain lovers, not only as Erciyes management, but also as our scouts, students, skiers, and athletes who love the mountain in our city; In order to eliminate this bad image, we meet every year in the first week of June at the Blue & Green Day event in Erciyes. We clean the spots that we have polluted and damaged the mountain, with our own means, on the basis of civility. It is necessary to carry a social sensitivity in order to both benefit from this beautiful mountain and atmosphere and leave it to our next generations.
