MUSIAD Women's International Awareness Summit Press Presentation Meeting was held at MUSIAD Headquarters. Making evaluations in the program, Mahmut Asmalı, President of MUSIAD, pointed to the women's work of MUSIAD and mentioned the importance MUSIAD gives to women's entrepreneurship. MÜSİAD Women's President Meryem İlbahar, on the other hand, referred to the event to be held at Atatürk Cultural Center on June 14 and underlined that a new link was added to the value chain with the slogan "Transformation Begins with Us".
Independent Industrialists' and Businessmen's Association (MUSIAD) organizes the International Awareness Summit (IAS) under the coordination of MUSIAD Women. The press conference for the event to be held at Istanbul Taksim Atatürk Cultural Center on 14 June was held at MUSIAD Headquarters with the participation of MUSIAD President Mahmut Asmalı, MUSIAD Women's President Meryem İlbahar, MUSIAD Board Members and members of the press. Making evaluations at the meeting, MUSIAD Chairman Mahmut Asmalı stated that he believed that the way for societies to rise in a prosperous way would be realized with the solidarity of all the elements that make up that society. Stating that MUSIAD Women's structuring contributes to economic life with exemplary works, President Asmalı said, “MUSIAD Women is not only for increasing the current potential of business women; Sustainable projects are being undertaken in order to strengthen the family life, social life and education life of all our women across the country with the same efficiency.” In her speech, where she shared information about the event to be held with the slogan "Transformation Begins with Us", MUSIAD Women's President Meryem İlbahar emphasized that every step taken today will leave traces that will affect the future, and said that MUSIAD Women will add a new link to the chain of values created with this understanding.

In his assessment at the MUSIAD Women's International Awareness Summit Press Presentation Meeting, MUSIAD President Mahmut Asmalı mentioned the impact of MUSIAD Women on economic life and stated that MUSIAD Women has become a strong structuring not only in Turkey but also around the world, thanks to the works it has implemented. President Asmalı continued his words as follows:
“We believe that the way for societies to rise prosperously is through the solidarity of all the elements that make up that society. Moving forward with this vision, MUSIAD Women carries out important projects to create employment, develop education and entrepreneurship, and provide better access to labor markets with its more than 300 female members operating under the umbrella of MUSIAD. MUSIAD Women, which aims to provide more opportunities to women entrepreneurs through equal opportunities; not only in Turkey, but also in the world with a strong structuring. Not only to increase the current potential of business women; Sustainable projects are being undertaken in order to strengthen the family life, social life and education life of all our women across the country with the same efficiency. MUSIAD Women, which plays an active role in supporting women's cooperatives in Anatolia, will further deepen its mission in this field in the coming period. It will encourage women entrepreneurs and support the development and commercialization of quality projects. Thus, it will provide added value to our country's exports and employment. Commissions such as Local and Global Commission, Business Development and Projects Commission, Patronage Commission, Family and Human Rights Commission and Culture, Art and Media Commission operating within the body of MUSIAD Women will be the architects of efficient and sustainable projects.”
“The International Awareness Summit focuses on three main issues”
Pointing out that the International Awareness Summit focused on three main issues this year, namely entrepreneurship-digital world, migration, environment-health, President Asmalı said, “In this context, she will play an active role in peace-building efforts focused on social cohesion led and included by women.” President Asmalı made the following statements in his evaluation:
“With the Incubation Center project, MUSIAD Women acts as a bridge to develop women's entrepreneurship. The International Awareness Summit, which will be held on June 14, aims to both empower women in the business world and contribute to the value chain that has been built. The starting point of the International Awareness Summit this year focuses on three main issues: entrepreneurship-digital world, migration, environment-health. MUSIAD Women; Through this summit, she will shed light on the difficulties that entrepreneurial women face in business life, and the expectations of immigrant women who have to leave their lands and live in a new country in terms of cultural integration and social cohesion. In this framework, she will play an active role in peacebuilding efforts focused on social cohesion led and included by women. It is aimed to create a collective consciousness and prepare an action plan by conveying different life stories and experiences. One of the most important sessions of the summit will be the environmental and climate crisis that threatens the whole world as a global problem. In this context, all processes that affect sustainable life, from zero waste policy to food waste management, from climate crisis to environmental problems, will be discussed with experts in their fields.

MUSIAD Women's President Meryem İlbahar stated that the International Awareness Summit, which will be held for the first time this year, will be held with the slogan "Transformation Begins with Us". Stating that they aim to strengthen awareness in all areas of life, İlbahar said, "It is in the hands of us humans to direct the plans that will produce solutions to many topics that are described as problems, and that will create a roadmap with detection and analysis." “Mevlana's; 'Don't say I'll do it tomorrow. Today was yesterday's tomorrow, what could you do?' With the motivation we got from his promise, we tried to fulfill our responsibilities in the nine-month period since September 11, 2021, by preserving our corporate culture, and we have put forward projects that touch not only the business world but also the social life. We are honored to be a pioneer in the realization of these works with the leadership of our MUSIAD President Mahmut Asmalı, his belief and support for the youth and us. We know that like a snowball turning into an avalanche, radical changes start with a small step. And it is possible to take these steps by noticing, because noticing is to reveal a consciousness. It is in the hands of us humans to direct the plans that will strengthen awareness in all areas of life, produce solutions to many topics that are described as problems, and create a roadmap with detection and analysis. Issues such as the climate crisis, the effects of environmental factors on human health, mass migration movements and digital transformation are pregnant with consequences that affect not only a few countries but the whole world. “MUSIAD Women encourages and paves the way for women entrepreneurs”
Stating that the International Awareness Summit will evaluate the steps that will shed light on all areas of life with a holistic perspective and an original approach, Mayor İlbahar said, “There are no obstacles in front of us to embody an idea. At this point, we encourage and pave the way for our women entrepreneurs.” İlbahar made the following statements in his statement:
“MÜSİAD Women, which focuses on identifying problems by considering all the roles of women in life, is launching an initiative that will lead to change with the summit to be held on 14 June. In this way, the understanding of 'High Ethics and High Technology', which is the founding motto of our MUSIAD, is our biggest source of motivation. While the empowerment of women in business life constitutes the main axis of our work, we will continue to develop our projects related to the elements related to women in social and cultural life. With a holistic view and an original approach, we will have taken our first step to shed light on the issues we will touch, from business life to family life, from academia to social life, in comparison with the international arena, and to raise awareness with the summit to be held. In the words of our Chairman, we are going through a historical period where the right decisions will be shaped with the right investments at the right time and will shape the future. We aim to strengthen our women entrepreneurs even more in our activities that we carry out with the aim of raising awareness in every field where women are involved. Today, with more than 300 members within the body of MUSIAD, we are the business world organization that hosts the largest number of businesswomen in Turkey, and we are aware of this power. IAS will address global issues with a “human value” approach
MUSIAD Women's Chair Ilbahar emphasized that the panel issues of Entrepreneurship and Digital, Migration, Environment and Health will be discussed with an approach that "values people" within the framework of the International Awareness Summit. İlbahar also shared other events that will be held within the scope of the summit. President İlbahar continued his words as follows:
“As in every work we do, at the International Awareness Summit that we will organize, we will discuss the issues that are on our agenda globally with an approach that 'values people'. We set this year's agenda with the topics of Entrepreneurship and Digital, Migration, Environment and Health, and aim to create an infrastructure for policies to be developed in the future. At our summit, which will be held under the auspices of the Ministry of Family and Social Services, these topics will be discussed in the focus of national and international problems and solution proposals. We know that there are United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. These topics, which we have included in our summit, are among the Sustainable Development Goals. As MUSIAD Women, we will sign this summit together, which we believe will achieve maximum output by pointing out the main problem areas not only for Turkey but also on a global scale. Awareness is important to us in art, as it is in every subject. We will shed light on the roots of our culture and establish a bond from tradition to the future, with works of art titled 'The Harmony of Lines, Modern Calligraphy Exhibition' to be exhibited at the event we will organize. At the same time, the 'Africa House' exhibition, in which MUSIAD has been a stakeholder since 2016, under the auspices of Ms. Emine Erdogan, will take place on 14 June at the Atatürk Cultural Center.”
