In Gaziantep, work continues at full speed on the GAZİRAY Project, which will be an alternative to urban transportation and will make a great contribution, which citizens are eagerly waiting for. The Republic of Turkey State Railways (TCDD) General Manager Metin Akbaş and his staff made a landing in Gaziantep to examine the latest status of the project.
The Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure, together with TCDD, offers another project to the service of our nation. TCDD General Manager Metin Akbaş, together with the On-site Solution Team, made investigations in GAZİRAY, which has a route length of 25.5 kilometers and a total line length of 112 kilometers and consists of 16 stations. TCDD Tasimacilik, TCDD Teknik and Gaziantep Metropolitan Municipality managers also participated in the investigations, and the construction of the new warehouse area where the maintenance and repair of GAZİRAY train sets will be started.
Examining the construction works on site, the team then went to Taşlıca Station Traffic Control Center and received information from the personnel.
“We attach great importance to traffic control centers to ensure railway safety and safe traffic flow.” TCDD General Manager Metin Akbaş said that the traffic management of the GAZİRAY Suburban route, which consists of 16 stations, will be carried out from this center.

General Manager Akbaş and On-Site Solution Team, who stopped by all stations in the GAZİRAY Project and continued their investigations, then held an evaluation meeting with the contractor company of the GAZİRAY Project. Akbaş was briefed on the latest state of GAZİRAY's construction process, technical communication, technology and site planning, and gave instructions for the completion of the project by eliminating the needs and deficiencies.
TCDD Deputy General Managers İsmail Hakkı Murtazaoğlu, Turgay Gökdemir, 6th Regional Manager Alisey Felek, TCDD Transportation, TCDD Teknik, Gaziantep Metropolitan Municipality officials and TCDD's relevant department heads participated in the investigations.
