President Büyükkılıç emphasized that around 2 million visitors visited the Erciyes Ski Center last season, and a trade volume of approximately 100 million Euros was created.
Kayseri Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Dr. Memduh Büyükkılıç held a meeting with his staff regarding the preparations for the 2022-2023 season in Erciyes Ski Center, one of the most important ski centers of Turkey and the world, which completed the winter season.
Chairman Büyükkılıç, Secretary General Hüseyin Beyhan, Deputy Secretary General Hamdi Elcuman, Ali Hasdal, Erciyes A.Ş. In the meeting attended by the Chairman of the Board of Directors, Murat Cahid Cıngı and the relevant department heads, the studies related to Erciyes Ski Center were discussed.
President Büyükkılıç, who made a statement at the meeting held in the Presidency Meeting Hall, stated that they evaluated the preparations of Erciyes Ski Center, which is a safe center at international standards, for the 2022-2023 season.
President Büyükkılıç, who thanked AK Party Deputy Chairman Mehmet Özhaseki for bringing such a work, said, “In addition to the studies carried out in previous years, with the investments and works that will meet the needs, the Erciyes Ski Center is in a position to raise the standard even more and to meet the expectations. We showed willpower. First of all, we would like to thank our very valuable minister, Mehmet Özhaseki, who brought such a work to our city. Indeed, it is the only ski center in the world that has made a name for itself with the work done here.”
100 MILLION EURO TRADE VOLUME AND 2 MILLION VISITORS
Emphasizing that a trade volume of approximately 2021 million Euros was realized in the 2022-100 winter season, Büyükkılıç said, “At the same time, with the High Altitude Center works, we will also provide the opportunity to organize camps not only for winter tourism, but also for individual and group sports in summer and other seasons. We strive to commemorate our Erciyes. We have determined that a trade volume of approximately 100 million Euros has been created in the last season, it has brought gains to our city and our country, and that around 2 million visitors have visited our Erciyes Ski Center.”
“OUR FLAME SHIP OF KAYSERİ”
President Büyükkılıç, describing the work carried out in and around Erciyes Ski Center as the flagship of Kayseri, said, “As it will be remembered before, our tourists were coming from countries such as Russia, Ukraine, Czechia, Belarus and Poland with charter flights. Due to the fact that it is really high-level as a standard, work continues rapidly on teams from other countries who want to go to our city for skiing or to benefit from the High Altitude Camping Center, and who want to camp. Thank you to our team for their hard work. Hopefully, I would like to share that such a tourism-oriented work, which we describe as the flagship of our Kayseri, will provide a great gain both for our Cappadocia region, our city and our country.”
