As part of the Europe Day, where the foundations of the European Union were laid, the 'Youth Ask, Get Information about the European Union's Space Goals' event was held at GUHEM by the Bursa EU Information Center.

Bursa EU Information Center, which has been operating within the body of Bursa Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BTSO) since 1997, within the scope of the project to support the EU Information Centers Network in Turkey, which is being implemented with the financial support of the European Union (EU) Delegation to Turkey. Within the scope of May Europe Day, a meaningful event was held at Gökmen Aerospace Training Center (GUHEM).

YOUTH SHOWED HIGH ATTENTION

In order to enable young people to have information about the EU's space goals, students both learned and had an unforgettable day at GUHEM, organized by Bursa EU Information Center and Bursa Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BTSO). Middle school, high school and university students participated in the event called 'Young People Ask, Learn About the Space Goals of the European Union'. Bursa Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BTSO) Tourism Council President and Federal Republic of Germany Bursa Honorary Consul Sibel Cura Measureoğlu, GUHEM General Manager-European Union Education and Youth Programs Center Presidency Youth Trainer Halit Mirahmetoğlu and Youth Organizations Forum-Youth Trainer Şükrü Yaylagülü gave information. .

FREE EDUCATION ABROAD

Noting that German citizens living in Bursa carry out studies to support the integration processes and students who want to study in this country, Sibel Cura Measureoğlu said, “Germany offers a wide range of opportunities for students to complete their education and career goals. If you win any university, you can get the chance to benefit from free university education by choosing a department equivalent to the department you have earned here and successfully completing the language exam. Our university graduate students can also complete their graduate education free of charge. Moreover, as a foreign student, you can contribute to meeting the education expenses by working in Germany, provided that you complete 20 hours.” she spoke.

EU YOUTH PROGRAMS WILL NOT SPEED

Stating that GUHEM is an important project implemented in cooperation with BTSO, Bursa Metropolitan Municipality and TUBITAK in order to serve the goal of space awareness and training human resources in this field, which is also included in the 'National Space Program', GUHEM General Manager Halit Mirahmetoğlu said, “Bursa EU Bilgi The Center creates social awareness by organizing seminars, projects and cultural events in order to inform the business world and all segments of society about the EU. GUHEM also hosts very important projects, especially in terms of raising conscious generations about space and aviation. In this period, we will carry out many activities within the scope of European Union Youth Programs with the contribution of our youth.” said.

ERASMUS AND ESC PROGRAM EXPLAINED

Youth Organizations Forum-Youth Trainer Şükrü Yaylagülü made a presentation to the participating students about ERASMUS and European Solidarity Program (ESC), which was prepared by the European Union for the development of individuals in fields such as education, work experience and sportive activity.

After the GUHEM study tour and the Star Dust Exhibition, the program ended with a group photo, and the students, who had the opportunity to experience 154 interactive mechanisms and various simulators, had an unforgettable day.

COMMON FUTURE WITH TURKEY FOR 22 YEARS

The symbol of peace and solidarity, 9 May Europe Day is celebrated in Turkey this year with the slogan “Our Hope is Always Young”. Through the European Union Information Centers, exhibitions, talks, symposiums, concerts and youth meetings are held in 19 different cities of Turkey. Turkey and the European Union have been working hand in hand to establish a common future for 22 years. With a total financing of 2002 billion euros since 15,1, many projects are carried out to promote sustainable development and universal values.
