New Arrangement for Samsun City Bus Lines

The number of daily passengers, which was 30 thousand on the urban bus line operated by Samsun Metropolitan Municipality, exceeded 60 thousand in March and April. It was stated that 2 new lines came to the test phase with the work done on the increasing demand, and arrangements were made in the flight times of 7 lines.

Samsun Metropolitan Municipality has made a new arrangement in urban bus lines. While additional flights were placed in some regions, new lines were planned in some regions. The number of daily passengers, which was 30 thousand due to the increasing demand, exceeded 60 thousand in March and April.

TEST PROCESS OF 2 NEW LINES WILL BEGIN

It has been stated that these lines will start the test process as of Monday, May 16, 2022, with the study carried out by the Samsun Metropolitan Municipality Department of Transportation, and if it is deemed appropriate, it will start to serve permanently. It was stated that, among the lines to be added with the study, the Great Mosque No. 8 - Cedit line will operate 8 times a day, and the Graveyard line No. 29 will operate with 5 times on Fridays.

NUMBER OF EXCURSIONS INCREASED

In addition, on the 12/17 line, which is one of the lines currently in operation, the number of voyages is increased from 50 to 53 on weekdays, and the voyage interval at the peak hour is 30 minutes, the number of voyages on the E4 line is increased from 75 to 94 on weekdays, and the voyage interval at the peak hour is 15 minutes, and on the E5 line. The number of voyages was increased from 112 to 140 on weekdays, the voyage interval was 10 minutes at the peak hour, 22 on the 23/07.45 line, 6 on the R07.45-T line, 3 on the T07.50 line, additional flights were added in the morning and on the 13 line. It was noted that the flight interval was reduced to 20 minutes at the peak hours of the evening.

While it is stated that the number of daily trips of the '8 Great Mosque - Cedit Line is 8 and the average service interval is 1 hour, the route is as follows:

“Departing from Büyük Mosque, you can turn from the Atatürk Boulevard to Youth Park, 100. Yıl Boulevard, Teachers Street, Akın Street, Çimenli Street, Bol Street – Kuba Mosque, and again at the beginning of Çimenli Street, Akın Street, Nebiler Street, Hakkari Street and Hakkari Street. – After returning from Nebiler Mosque, there will be Cumhuriyet Square Stop located in Nebiler Caddesi, 118.Sokak, Teachers Street, 100.Yıl Boulevard, Atatürk Boulevard, Büyük Mosque and Çarşamba direction.”

While it is stated that the number of '29 Cemeteries Line' will be 5 on Fridays, its route is as follows:

“Departing from Soguksu, 112. Street, Şehit Mesut First Street, Ilkadim Boulevard, Municipal Houses, Atatürk Boulevard, Kilicdede Junction, Muhittin Özkefeli Boulevard, Istiklal Avenue, 100. Yıl Boulevard, Mevlana Street, Asri Cemetery, Gazi Ethem Pasa Boulevard, Martyr Korhan Ekiz Boulevard, Barış Boulevard, Kıranköy Cemetery, 726.Sokak, Ankara Boulevard via the D010 ring road, Atatürk Boulevard in the direction of Atakum, Derecik Street, Anadolu Boulevard, 747.Street, Derecik Cemetery and for the return route, it will be Soğuksu with the opposite direction.”
