Konya Metropolitan Municipality is bringing the Isauria Road, dating back to the Ancient Roman Period, between Konya's Bozkır District and Antalya's Akseki District to tourism. More than 174 tourism guides and professional mountaineers from all over Turkey did a 76-day mountain trek on the 300-kilometer section of the 4-kilometer-long hiking trail, which is on its way to becoming one of Turkey's new trekking routes.
A camping trekking organization was organized by the Konya Metropolitan Municipality to promote the Isauria Road, a real historical road from the Ancient Roman Period.
In the organization held with participation from all over Turkey in order to promote the region and increase tourism activities, tourism guides and professional mountaineers did a 4-day mountain trek.
THE PARTICIPANTS WERE SATISFIED
Ali Ziya Yalçınkaya, who conveyed his thoughts about the organization held on the 174 kilometer stage of the 76 kilometer historical road, said, “It was a very challenging and enjoyable organization with 300 participants from different parts of Turkey. We thank Konya Metropolitan Municipality for their support.” said.
Gülgün Çimen, who participated from İzmir, said, “This was a route I followed for 4-5 years. It's the energy that draws me in. We are in a very mysterious, very mystical place, intertwined with nature. I took this opportunity and participated because I thought I would live to the fullest,” she said.
Mustafa Kılıçarslan, who participated in the march from Kayseri, said, “We have a wonderful country, we have a homeland. We walked in historical textures. It was a bit tiring, but we have a homeland like heaven. Many thanks to our friends. I would like to thank Konya Metropolitan Municipality very much.” used the phrases.
Isauria Road, located between Bozkır District of Konya and Akseki District of Antalya, is one of the new trekking routes of Turkey with its stone paved roads, cisterns on the road, inn ruins, wells and arches.
The track arrangement works of the remaining part of the Isauria Walking Path, which is 174 km in total, continue.
