Kayseri Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Dr. Memduh Büyükkılıç received his rightful award at the Yeşilşehirler Idea and Project Competition organized by the Union of Municipalities of Turkey from the Minister of Justice Bekir Bozdağ.
Minister of Justice Bekir Bozdağ, Deputy Chairman of the Presidency Local Government Policy Board, Prof. Dr. Şükrü Karatepe, President of the Union of Municipalities of Turkey Fatma Şahin, Mayor of Kayseri Metropolitan Municipality Dr. Memduh Büyükkılıç and metropolitan, provincial and district mayors attended.
The program started with a moment of silence and the singing of the National Anthem, and the President of TBB Fatma Şahin made the opening speech.
Minister of Justice Bekir Bozdağ, who was invited to the podium afterward, wished success to all mayors in their duties, while Deputy Chairman of the Presidency Local Government Policy Board Prof. Dr. Şükrü Karatepe called out to the mayors and said, “Your load is heavy, your job is difficult, your heroism is evident in such a day. BÜYÜKKILIÇ RECEIVES THE AWARD FROM MINISTER BOZDAĞ
After the speeches, the award ceremony of the Yeşilşehirler Ideas and Project Implementation Competition organized by TBB was held. Within the scope of the competition, the project 'Building an RFID Based Urban Traffic Modeling Infrastructure', which is one of the infrastructure projects in urban transportation, was awarded by the Kayseri Metropolitan Municipality. President Büyükkılıç received the award from Minister Bozdağ.
Mayor Büyükkılıç stated that he received this award on behalf of all of Kayseri and said, “We received this award on behalf of our Kayseri, on behalf of all our mayors, on behalf of our Metropolitan. I would like to thank the chairman and management of the Union of Municipalities of Turkey, who deemed us worthy of this award.”
PROJECT, ECO-FRIENDLY
Büyükkılıç stated that they attach great importance to the environment-friendly project called 'Creation of RFID-Based Urban Traffic Modeling Infrastructure', which is one of the infrastructure projects in urban transportation, prepared by the Department of Transportation Planning and Rail Systems, and that within the scope of this project, reducing fuel consumption and reducing fuel consumption as a result of making traffic more fluid. He stated that they aim to reduce carbon emission rates originating from road traffic.
