Exports of construction materials and technologies from Turkey to Iraq are increasing day by day. In this context, Iraq's largest construction industry fair "Construct Iraq Erbil", organized by So Fair, will be held at Erbil International Fair Center on 24-26 May 2022, including construction materials and technologies, contracting services, electricity and heating, ventilation, air conditioning (HVAC). ) and pump systems product groups, with the participation of international companies that are branded, opens its doors to its visitors for the fourth time.
Supported by the Kurdistan Regional Government, the Ministry of Industry and Mines of the Republic of Iraq, the Erbil Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Ministry of Commerce of the Republic of Turkey, more than 200 international companies simultaneously participated in the fair, with the participation of Iran, Egypt, India, United Arab Emirates and China, apart from Turkey and Iraq. CONSTRUCTION OF NEW POWER PLANT IN IRAQ
Iraq currently produces approximately 8 thousand MW of electricity, and its electricity need is at the level of 14-15 thousand MW. The electricity that the country will need in 2030 will be 32 thousand MW. In addition, while electricity can be supplied to houses for an average of 7-6 hours a day from the public electricity network, electricity usage increases to an average of 15-16 hours with private facilities. Iran, China and Turkey, which undertook the construction of the power plant within the scope of the restructuring of Iraq, are planning to build a new power plant with a capacity of 9.200 MW in the country.
