E-Transit Custom, the first of four fully electric commercial vehicles to be offered by Ford Pro by 2024 after E-Transit, is designed to become a new reference point in Europe's one-tonne commercial vehicle segment and to facilitate the transition of all businesses to electric vehicles. The electrified version of the iconic model that drives the trade, the Transit Custom, has been designed to fit Ford Pro's ecosystem of productivity-enhancing and value-adding solutions. E-Transit Custom will be supported by Ford Pro software, charging, service and financing solutions on a single platform in order to increase the productivity of businesses and reduce their costs.
The latest addition to Ford Pro's electric vehicle range is an important part of Ford's ambitious commitment to achieving zero emissions for all vehicle sales in Europe by 2035 and a carbon-neutral footprint in Europe.
The fully electric E-Transit Custom draws attention with its 380 kilometers range, DC fast charging, full towing capability and dynamic new style. With ProPower Onboard technology, E-Transit Custom also provides exportable power for lighting and electrical devices when needed. E-Transit Custom, which draws attention with its impressive design, will set a new reference point in the 1-ton vehicle segment with its re-arranged ostentatious and balanced exterior design and all-LED headlights.
As Ford announced at the beginning of the year, by 2024, in addition to the two-ton E-Transit commercial vehicle, four new all-electric vehicles will join the iconic Transit family; Electric versions of Transit Custom and Transit Courier and Tourneo Custom and Tourneo Courier models are included in this scope.
We will manufacture all Transit Custom versions at our Kocaeli Plants, as part of the largest investment in the automotive industry, which we announced last year to realize electric and connected new generation commercial vehicle projects. As of the first half of 2023, we will start to produce the first fully electric version of the 'Next Generation Transit Custom' family, with diesel and rechargeable, hybrid electric PHEV (Plug-In Hybrid) versions as of the second half of 2023.
