İzmir Metropolitan Municipality ESHOT General Directorate is signing the 'smart stop' application that will make life easier. Citizens will be able to see the approaching buses on their mobile phones when they come to the stop.

The software developed by the Izmir Metropolitan Municipality ESHOT General Directorate Information Processing Department will provide great convenience for the citizens waiting at the stops. Passengers will be able to view the buses approaching to the stop, the lines passing through the stop and their departure times by scanning the QR codes on the labels to be applied to the closed and paddle stops with their smart phones.

In addition, the Passenger Satisfaction Survey can be accessed via the same data matrix. Thus, citizens will be able to contribute to the efforts to further improve the quality of ESHOT service by participating in the survey consisting of 10 questions.

Test execution started

The application first started at 10 designated stops. After the completion of the test procedures, all closed and paddle stops throughout the city will be included in the application and will be transformed into smart stops.
