ASELSAN to Develop Ground Station Antenna System for Moon Mission

According to the ASELSAN 2021 annual report, ASELSAN will develop the ground station antenna system in the Lunar Mission or Lunar Research Program, which is one of the 10 targets in the National Space Program. The Ground Station Antenna System, which will be used for the spacecraft to be developed by TÜBİTAK Space in the Moon Mission announced by President Erdoğan on February 9, 2021, is the first in Turkey.

Turkish Space Agency (TUA); On March 16, 2022, on his official social media accounts, he shared new developments about the National Hybrid Propulsion System (HIS), which will carry the spacecraft to the lunar orbit in the Lunar Research Program (AYAP-1 / Moon Mission). DeltaV Space Technologies; AYAP-1 is developing the hybrid propulsion system that will carry the spacecraft developed by TUBITAK Space to the moon. According to the information conveyed by TUA, the preliminary design process of the system called the National Hybrid Propulsion System (HIS), the production of the first flight-scale test prototype and the production and installation of the test system, where flight-scale ground tests will be carried out, have been completed.

National Space Program and Possible ASELSAN Contributions

For the first time, ASELSAN pointed out the systems it will develop in the National Space Program in the video titled "National Space Program and Possible ASELSAN Contributions" at the IDEF 2021 Defense Industry Fair, in the video it shared on its stand. Space-based observation systems, which are important for satellite operations, are included in the Space Observation title in the National Space Program and Possible ASELSAN Contributions video. Under the title of Satellite Company, it is aimed to develop communication subsystems and payloads in the space segment, and all kinds of user terminals in the ground segment. ASELSAN wants to develop Tracking and Tracking Radars, Mission Control Center Infrastructures and Data Communication Systems within the scope of Space Port under the title of Access to Space.

In the ASELSAN 2021 Annual Report; The assembly, integration and testing activities of Ku-Band and X-Band Payloads developed by ASELSAN on the nationally developed Türksat-2020A Communication Satellite Flight Model Payloads panels transferred to ASELSAN in 6 were successfully completed in July 2021. TÜRKSAT-6A flight panels were delivered to TAI in August 2021 to be integrated into the satellite platform.
