IMM is transforming the city's parks and squares into rinks for the 'World Dance Day' on April 29. Istanbulites meet with special shows, lively rhythms and magnificent choreographies. The events, to which all Istanbulites are invited, will fascinate with the performances of professional dancers at 8 different locations.
Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) will organize shows at important points of the city as part of the 'International Dance Day'. The rhythm of the music will meet with Istanbulites on the World Dance Day, where colorful and unique dances will be exhibited on April 29. All day long, Istanbulites will feel the iconic, energetic and colorful energy that blends world-famous music genres with the city. Music and dance lovers will be excited with fire dances, have fun with DJ performances, and accompany performing arts ensembles.
On this special day celebrated with dance performances all over the world, IMM Culture Department; Maçka Democracy Park, Karaköy, Kadıköywill carry the 'Dance of the World' to Beşiktaş and Üsküdar Piers, Haliç Metro Park and İBB Ümraniye and Bakırköy Cultural Centers. On World Dance Day, Istanbulites will have fun with many different dance shows, from folk dances to Indian dances, from flamenco to hip-pop, from waltz to break dance. Istanbul squares will host a wide range of activities from interactive dance ensembles to children's ballet and workshops.
THE CITY WILL LIVE
The performances, which will start at 14.00 in Maçka Park on the Dance Day, where the public spaces of Istanbul will be lively all day long, will continue until 24.00 at night. The shows that will add sparkle to Istanbul nights will allow the public to spend pleasant moments in the green areas of the city.
