Minister of National Defense Hulusi Akar, who said, "Mines may have been disabled to squeeze Turkey from the Black Sea, spoke for the second time about mines." Akar announced that he conveyed to the defense ministers of 7 countries that he met last week, that "there is no need to bring foreign troops to the Black Sea to hunt mines". Akar said that the Turkish Army successfully cleared the mines.

Under the chairmanship of Minister of National Defense Hulusi Akar, an online security meeting was held with the participation of Chief of General Staff General Yaşar Güler, Land, Air and Naval Forces and unit commanders. Minister Akar conveyed the agenda of the meetings held last week with the Ministers of Defense of Bulgaria, Poland, Romania, Ukraine and Georgia and the trilateral meetings with the Ministers of Defense of the United Kingdom and Italy.

Akar said that during his meetings with the defense ministers of 7 countries, stray mines in the Black Sea came to the fore. Emphasizing the stability of the Black Sea, the Minister of National Defense stated that they conveyed that there is no need to bring foreign troops to the countries.

Stating that the origin of the mines has not been finalized, Akar said, "We are following the events closely."

Minister of National Defense Hulusi Akar drew attention to the fact that the mines, whose key system was deactivated, could be a plan to carry the war to the Black Sea and to squeeze Turkey, at the AK Party MKYK meeting last week. Akar had given an important message with the statement, "Mines may have been left for NATO's dredging ships to enter the Black Sea in order to stifle us." Akar said, “We will not let warships into the Black Sea. We will not allow the Black Sea to be drawn into the war,” he said.
