Are EGO Buses, Metro, ANKARAY and Cable Car Free During Bayram?

Ankara Metropolitan Municipality announced that public transportation vehicles connected to EGO will serve free of charge during the Ramadan Feast.

Pursuant to the decision taken by the Ankara Metropolitan Municipality Council, “On religious and national holidays until the first Local Administration elections, starting from 06.00 and until 24.00 at night, free use of public transportation services provided by the EGO General Directorate's buses, rail systems and cable cars…” They will be able to benefit from the public transportation services (Bus, Metro, ANKARAY and Cable Car) run by the EGO General Directorate free of charge during the Ramadan Feast, which coincides with the dates 02, 03, 04 May 2022.

In addition, from the eve of the EGO General Directorate Karşıyaka A total of 4 solo EGO buses, 2 in the Cemetery, 1 in the Sincan-Çimşit Cemetery and 7 in the Ortaköy Cemetery, will be operating between 08.00 in the morning and 18.00 in the evening.

Additional bus and train services will be provided immediately in order to prevent citizens from becoming victims, depending on the passenger density, during the instantaneous surveillance by EGO General Directorate field supervisors and Bus Fleet Tracking and Rail System Control Centers.
