ASFAT Announces The Production of Offshore Patrol Ships

It has been announced by the Ministry of National Defense ASFAT that the critical design phase of the Offshore Patrol Ships has been completed and production has begun. In the statement made by ASFAT, “As of today, the critical design phase of the Offshore Patrol Ships, which will be built with high locality and advanced technology for the needs of our Naval Forces Command, has been completed and production has started. Good luck to the blue homeland, our Navy and our nation!” statements were included.

At the 15th International Defense Industry Fair (IDEF) by ASFAT, the design of the Offshore Patrol Ship (ADKG) was exhibited with its additional armed configuration. Additional armed configuration on display at the fair;

  • 1x 76mm Head Ball
  • 1x ASELSAN GÖKDENİZ Close Air Defense System
  • 8x HİSAR air defense missiles
  • 8x Anti-Ship Missile
  • 4x ROKETSAN UMTAS
  • 2x(with 6 DSH Rockets) ROKETSAN DSH (Submarine Defense Warfare) Rocket Launch System
  • 2x ASELSAN STAMP
  • YAKAMOS Hull Mounted Sonar System
  • ASELSAN MAR-D Search Radar
  • Torpedo Countermeasure System
  • LPI Radar
  • Fire Control Radar
  • Electro-Optical Sensor

Includes weapon and sensor payloads.

While the ship performs a duty with a light weapon load in peacetime, it can be equipped with the necessary sensor and weapon loads quickly if needed in time of conflict. In this context, an Offshore Patrol Ship patrolling with the MAR-D in peacetime can be equipped with a CENK-S or SMART-S radar more suitable for combat missions in case of war, or it can be equipped with HİSAR missiles if longer range air defense capabilities are required.
