Izmir Metropolitan Municipality once again kept the tradition of solidarity alive with the iftar tables it set up during the holy month of Ramadan. Distributing iftar meals for 561 thousand people and food and hygiene packages to 40 thousand households, the Metropolitan Municipality deposited 70 liras in cash to the accounts of 300 thousand households before the feast.
A total of 53 million liras from the municipal budget in İzmir was allocated for Ramadan solidarity.

53 million 656 thousand TL support was provided
During the month of Ramadan, a total of 19 thousand 910 people were given iftar meals worth 561 million 500 thousand TL at many points in Izmir. Food and hygiene packages worth 40 million 12 thousand TL were distributed to 746 thousand households in order to extinguish the fire in the kitchens, even if the living conditions were getting worse. Before the Eid al-Fitr, a total of 70 million TL in cash support, 300 TL each, was deposited into the bank accounts of 21 thousand households.
Within the scope of Ramadan solidarity of Izmir Metropolitan Municipality, a total of 53 million 656 thousand TL support was provided to the people of Izmir.
The last iftar of Ramadan is for the relatives of martyrs and veterans
Solidarity tables, which started with the fast-breaking dinner for 3 people at Konak Atatürk Square on the first day of Ramadan, were held in Adile Naşit Park, Göksu Park and Çaldıran Park in Buca; Lale Park in Konak, Ege Mahallesi, Peker Park in Karabağlar, Serintepe Park in Bornova, BayraklıIt continued in Gümüşpala Closed Marketplace in , and in the container city area, whose houses were damaged in the earthquake, in Aliağa, in Democracy Square, Helvacı Park and Yenişakran District, and in Menemen Kazımpaşa District. Iftar dinner was given to 29 thousand 500 people in total. Izmir Metropolitan Municipality's fast-breaking program will end on the last day of Ramadan with an iftar dinner for 1500 people to be given to the relatives of martyrs and veterans at the Historical Gas Factory.
Solidarity all over Izmir
In addition to the iftar tables, carefully prepared meals were delivered door to door to 19 thousand people in 189 districts. Iftar meals were distributed to 9 thousand 253 people together with solidarity points, mobile catering vehicles and boarding institutions at 500 points. For university students, 55 thousand people were given a meal at Dokuz Eylül University, Buca Tarık Akan Youth Center, Ege University and the University Metro Exit, Katip Çelebi University, İzmir Institute of Technology. For the citizens who could not reach their homes during the fast-breaking meal, food packages for 30 thousand people were distributed at Üçyol Metro, Halkapınar Metro and Konak Metro stations.
