Interior Minister Süleyman Soylu and Governor Münir Karaloğlu opened the "Extraordinary Machinery Exhibition" of El Cezeri, one of the world's leading geniuses during the Golden Age of Islam, by the Diyarbakır Metropolitan Municipality.

“Jazari's Extraordinary Machines Exhibition”, where the machine drawings in Kitab-ülHiyal, written by the Muslim scientist Al-Jazari in the 13th century, were turned into working machines, was opened in Goat Sign.

Citizens showed great interest in the exhibition, which included Turkey's first flying car “Cezeri” developed by Baykar, as well as 25 prototypes in which the drawings of the famous Islamic scholar Al-Jazari were turned into working machines.

Speaking at the opening of the exhibition, Minister Soylu said that he is honored to be in the exhibition, which takes place within the legacy of history, civilization and culture.

Stating that they came from a great civilization, Soylu said: “We are the sons of a great civilization. Those who wanted to separate us from our own civilization first defamed our civilization. They tried to marginalize and postpone our unity and solidarity. Then they tried to take our self-confidence. But our dough, our character is strongly kneaded into this civilization. From Piri Reis to Harezmi, from İbni Sina to Cezeri, we are the sons of a strong character who kneads the whole understanding of science, technique and spirituality in this civilization. I would like to express here to my dear young brothers and sisters this understanding, which expresses that they can give to the world because the world needed it that day, and that this understanding accepted by the world that day is still needed today.”

“You can follow knowledge in peace and tranquility”

Stating that they come from an understanding that knows that they can protect humanity, the future and the legacies left by the past, Soylu said:

“Only in peace and tranquility can you pursue knowledge. Only in peace can you produce towards humanity. Otherwise, you cannot do this. You cannot teach in turmoil. If you wake up in the morning with anxiety, you will break away from science, you will break from your history, you will also break from what has been left to you. And you will be detached from those entrusted to you. We consider doing everything in our power to guide our youth and children to the truth, not only as an instruction of this geography, but as an instruction of humanity. We have a lot of work to do.”

Noting that there is hatred and enmity in the world, Soylu said: “Our path is clear. We are not here for a person who was drawn in this geography years ago and did evil today, on the contrary, we are here for the Chief Engineer of the Artuqid Palace. We are here for a scientist who has come back to our history and realized what could be achieved after science, which reveals inventions that fascinate us all, centuries ago. We commemorate him. We express our gratitude and appreciation to him. We show an example. We advise ourselves that we should be like him and better than him. But we do not show evil as an example. We do not show examples of those who wash those who burn. We do not show examples of those who destroyed cities, destroyed libraries, pushed people into a climate of hatred against each other in history.”

“We need to look at Cezeri and put forward a measure”

Emphasizing that the whole world has benefited from what Cezeri has done, Soylu concluded his speech as follows:

“We can look at the elders of our geography, from Yunus Emre to Mevlana, from İdrisi Bitlis to Ahmedi Hani to Ahmet Yesevi, not only of Cezeri, but of all our elders living in this geography, as a breathing space for ourselves. for him. We have a lot of work to do. We should look at Cezeri and measure ourselves about what we will do. We should look at Cezeri and put a measure not only in our own geography, but also in the geography around us, to the world. Our young people will come and see what they will not tell in pages and books. to see? to travel? to read? Each of them has their own distinct advantage, and they will taste the flavor of each one's own superiority here.”

“Invent ourselves”

Speaking afterwards, Governor Karaloğlu said that Cezeri worked as a chief engineer at the Artuklu Palace in Diyarbakır İçkale for 26 years and that he realized all his inventions and experiments in Diyarbakır.

Karaloğlu said: “The fact that the machines he invented that day are exhibited here after 800 years is actually a message to the geography, the codes of our civilization, a message to our youth, the Awakening Youth. Wonder what happens, make an invention on our own. We want you to make inventions on your own. Dear Minister, despite your busy schedule today, you have honored our city, us, at the opening of this beautiful exhibition. We hope that our exhibition will contribute scientifically to the new revival and awakening that started in Diyarbakır.”

Nisanur Çalışkan, Deputy General Director of the Istanbul Cezeri Museum, said that they wanted to bring together the most important pieces in the museum in Istanbul with the people of Diyarbakır.

Çalışkan said: “My late father Durmuş Çalışkan designed his machines and automatons based on an engineering approach for 20 years, based on Cezeri's book. While doing these works, we established the Istanbul Cezeri Museum. Then we lost him and we had to fulfill our debt of loyalty. We reconsidered all projects for production. In addition to Cezeri's machines and vending machines, we have reproduced all the basic principles for children and adults to understand Cezeri's mechanical principles with different devices. We hope it will be an inspiration especially for the children.”

After the speeches, Minister Soylu, Karaloğlu and the participants cut the opening ribbon of the exhibition. Soylu and Karaloğlu visited the exhibition and got information about the machines.

AK Party Diyarbakır MPs Oya Eronat, Ebubekir Bal, AK Party Provincial Chairman Muhammed Şerif Aydın, representatives of institutions and young people attended the opening.

“Cezeri's Extraordinary Machines Exhibition”

The exhibition, which will host visitors until May 18, consists of 15 extraordinary machines, which were produced by the guidance of Cezeri, as the result of Durmuş Çalışkan's work of more than 25 years, produced by the production of the machines of Cezeri, which was a first in the world, on the same scale, with the same materials and techniques. .

In the exhibition, Water Clock with Elephant, Snake Mechanism, Water Clock with Boatman Figure, Automatic Washbasin with Children, Automatic Washbasin with Peacocks, Child Machine with Beverage, Blood Measuring Machine, Four Sliding Door Locks, Geometric Drawing Tool and Sphere and Multi-Purpose Pan Application. 25 works of art, including one among them, and the first flying car made in Turkey, called Cezeri, are on display.
