Çanakkale Bridge, which will connect Europe and Asia for the fifth time after the 15 July Martyrs Bridge (Bosphorus Bridge), Fatih Sultan Mehmet Bridge, Yavuz Sultan Bridge and Eurasia Tunnel in Istanbul, was built between Lapseki and Gelibolu districts of Çanakkale province.

The bridge connects Sütlüce village 10 km south of Gallipoli district center on the European side and Lapseki district on the Asian side.

How much is the 1915 Çanakkale Bridge toll?

The one-sided toll for the Çanakkale Bridge, which will be operated by a private company for 2022 years from 11, has been determined as 289 TL (15 euro + VAT). In addition, the toll fee will be increased every year.

Speaking to NTV on September 22, 2021, Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Adil Karaismailoğlu said, “According to the current ship schedule, a fee of 85 lira is charged to the cars. Accordingly, when the bridge is opened, the toll will be 15 euros," he said.

Although the company that will build and operate the Çanakkale Bridge is guaranteed for 45 thousand passengers per day and 16,5 million passengers per year, the bridge is expected to be used by 3,5 million vehicles annually. The difference will be paid to the operating company from the state treasury.

According to 2019 data, the number of vehicles passing by ferry between the two sides of Çanakkale is 12 thousand 431 per day.
