Mayor of Izmir Metropolitan Municipality Tunç Soyerparticipated in the opening of the 33rd MODEKO – International Izmir Furniture Fair hosted by Izmir Metropolitan Municipality. Stating that there is a great unity in the furniture sector, President Soyer said, “Our target is clear; We will become one of the top 5 exporting countries in the world and we will increase our trade volume in the world's furniture industry to 5 percent.”

MODEKO – 33rd International İzmir Furniture Fair, hosted by İzmir Metropolitan Municipality and İZFAŞ, started by Efor Fuarcılık and Nobel Expo at Fuar İzmir. Izmir Metropolitan Municipality Mayor attended the opening ceremony of MODEKO, which will be held with more than 2 companies and over 6 brands from 10 countries between 300-750 March. Soyer: We will increase our trade volume in the world to 5 percent

Our furniture exports continue to grow steadily after the pandemic. There is such an enterprising spirit that there is neither a pandemic, an economic crisis, nor a war… I really congratulate all sector representatives for this excitement and enterprising spirit.” Stating that Turkey broke the record of all time in 4,3 with its furniture exports of 2021 billion dollars, Soyer continued: “As of January, our furniture exports across the country reached a volume of 14 million dollars with 325,5 percent. I have no doubt that we will set a new record with the support we provide to the sector from İzmir in 2022. Our goal is clear; We will become one of the top 5 exporting countries in the world and we will increase our trade volume in the world's furniture industry to 5 percent. That's what we're here for, and we will continue to do whatever we can with great enthusiasm.”

Çelik: “İzmir attraction center”

Erhan Çelik, Chairman of the Board of Nobel Expo Fairs, said, “There is no area in Turkey where fairs can be held as comfortably and comfortably as this area. Aegean Exporters' Unions Coordinator President Jak Eskinazi said: “The 3 halls were almost full days ago and there was no empty place. This demand is an indication of how good the fair will be.”

Güleç: “We made a name for ourselves in the world in 10 years”

Istanbul Exporters Union Coordinator Chairman Ahmet Güleç said, “This week is a holiday for us, our profession. Energy is splashing all over Turkey. We do the competition fraternally, we are brothers. I am grateful to those who contributed to our industry. As the Turkish furniture industry, we have made a name for ourselves in the world in the last 10 years.”
