Ordu Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Dr. Mehmet Hilmi Güler said, “A positive opinion was given to the Ski and Chairlift Project for Göndeliç Hill in the examinations made by the technical personnel of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, General Directorate of Investments and Enterprises.”

A new project is being added to the projects carried out to spread tourism to 12 months in Ordu. The first positive report for the new Ski Facility to be built on Göndeliç Hill, at an altitude of 2, within the borders of Kabadüz district, came from the Ministry of Youth and Sports. After the technical examinations carried out by the Ministry of Youth and Sports, General Directorate of Investments and Enterprises on Göndeliç Hill and its surroundings, where a ski facility is planned to be built, it was concluded that the region is suitable for a Ski Center and a Chairlift.

In the prepared report; “As the geographical location of Ordu province, Göndeliç Mountain in the Central Black Sea is the highest peak of Ordu province with an altitude of 2 extending to the western end of the Eastern Black Sea Mountains.

Since Göndeliç Hill, which is requested as a continuation of Ordu and Çambaşı Ski Center, is 10 km away, Çambaşı Ski Center cannot meet the tourism demand in its current state, and winter sports are not available at an altitude of 2000, the area of ​​Göndeliç Mountain of 5000 hectares. , its height exceeding 2 meters, the elevation difference is between 700 m and 200 meters, there is at least 800 hectares of skiable area, the runway length is foreseen between 1000 meters and 100 meters, the distance to the city center is 4000 km, 65 km to the airport, the land is suitable for snow tourism and winter. We consider it appropriate to build a comprehensive ski facility on Göndeliç Hill, as it is suitable for sports activities.

By combining the Eastern Black Sea Highlands with Göndeliç Mountain, a master plan was prepared and the topography, aspect, season range, snow quality, runway characteristics, transportation etc. for winter sports and tourism. It is necessary to prepare a project that will serve our country with a structure that can be used for 12 months, which can host many activities such as winter, highland nature, high altitude camping, by making the feasibility of the criteria.

The new facility, which is only 10 kilometers from Çambaşı Ski Center and will be the continuation of the existing ski facility, will add value to Ordu tourism.
