After 2 attackers who tried to get on the shuttle bus carrying the personnel of the ESHOT General Directorate in the Yeşilyurt district of Karabağlar, injured 7 personnel and 1 police officer with a knife, the Mayor of İzmir Metropolitan Municipality Tunç Soyer He made a statement and said that he condemned the incident. Two people, who tried to get on the shuttle bus that carried the drivers working in ESHOT to their places of duty, in the Yeşilyurt district at around 05.00:7 in the morning, resisted not to get off the bus. It was learned that two of the injured were taken into surgery and the others were not life-threatening. We are with all of our friends who have to work at the expense of their lives. We have had the necessary meetings with the police officers. We have initiated initiatives to ensure the safety of our friends and to provide legal support. We will continue to oppose all forms of violence, as we have done so far. We want all acts of violence that disrupt public peace and threaten public safety to be punished in the most severe way.”
