ACCESS TO FILYOS PORT WILL BE EASIER

Pointing out that the Zonguldak-Kilimli Road Project is located on the route of Filyos Port, one of Turkey's most important logistics bases, Karaismailoğlu noted that with the project, they took the transit traffic passing through the settlement out of the settlement area, ensuring traffic safety, safety of life and property.

Providing information about the project to be opened, Minister of Transport Karaismailoğlu said, “The divided road with a total length of 6,5 kilometers was covered with BSK. TRAFFIC RELIEF IN THE CITY

Noting that this section, which connects Zonguldak, which is a heavy industry, and Kilimli, was designed to respond to traffic density, Karaismailoğlu stated that physical and geometric standards were raised with tunnels and connection roads. Underlining that transportation comfort has also been increased, Karaismailoğlu continued his statement as follows:

“As it is known, Kilimli has an important position in terms of the existence of coal mines and especially in terms of providing transportation related to the Filyos Port Project. With the completion of the project, the urban traffic currently used for the Zonguldak-Kilimli crossing will be greatly relieved. It will also benefit economically by shortening the distance. With the project, which will provide transportation to Zonguldak and Kilimli districts in a divided road standard, the route will be shortened by 4,5 kilometers and travel time will be shortened by 25 minutes. Travel time will be reduced from 30 minutes to 5 minutes with the opening of the road section and tunnels. A total of 22,4 million TL will be saved annually, 2,1 million TL from time and 24,5 million TL from fuel.”
