A special 'Memorial Ticket' was issued for the start of high-speed trains on the Konya-Karaman high-speed train line, which was opened on January 8, 2022 with the participation of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Adil Karaismailoğlu.

The Commemorative Ticket was presented to Deputy General Manager Şinasi Kazancıoğlu, Passenger Department Head Erhan Tepe, General Manager Hasan Pezük.

Hasan Pezük, General Manager of TCDD Taşımacılık A.Ş, said, “January 8, 2022 will take its place as a milestone in Turkish Railway History. A 1213 kilometer long high-speed rail line has been added to our 102 kilometer high-speed rail line, and it will take only 2 hours and 40 minutes to reach Karaman from Ankara, and 50 minutes to reach Karaman from Konya in 40 minutes. Again, a passenger boarding from Istanbul arrives in Karaman in 6 hours. This line is a milestone not only for passenger transportation, but also for our freight transportation. Both of our trains will operate on this line. Before the high-speed train project, the railway line had a capacity of 26 double train lines, and with the end of the project, the line capacity increased to 60 double trains. From Karaman, this line will extend to Ulukışla, Mersin, Adana, Osmaniye, Gaziantep, so the face and fate of every city reached by the high-speed train will change.” said.

Pezük said, “As TCDD Tasimacilik, we are excited and happy to offer our citizens a comfortable, safe and comfortable journey with the ever-expanding advanced railway network. I send my love to all my railroad colleagues who put their effort into this beautiful service. Thank you for the Souvenir Ticket. ' he said.
