"Our two trains consist of 46 wagons and will travel 4 kilometers to reach Afghanistan via Iran and Turkmenistan," he said.
Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Adil Karaismailoğlu attended the farewell ceremony of the Humanitarian Aid Train that will go to Afghanistan. He stood by the people of Afghanistan, a friendly and brotherly country, just as he is everywhere in the world that is in need of kindness and a hand.
OUR TRAIN WILL REACH AFGHANISTAN IN 16 DAYS
Underlining that with the commissioning of Marmaray, uninterrupted railway transportation from China to London is ensured, Minister Karaismailoğlu said, “Our two trains consist of 46 wagons and carry approximately 750 tons of goodness materials. It will travel 4 kilometers to reach Afghanistan via Iran and Turkmenistan. Of course, with the construction of the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway and the commissioning of Marmaray, our trains from China to London, that is, from Far Asia to Far Europe, started to operate. Our Istanbul-Tehran-Islamabad trains, which we now describe as the southern line, have now started to operate. Using this corridor, our train will reach Turkmenistan and then Afghanistan in 168 days via Iran. These trains of kindness will always continue.
