Metropolitan General Secretary Gündoğdu and Mayor Kocaman made investigations at the starting point of the cable car project to be built in Kartepe.
Mayor of Kartepe Mustafa Kocaman hosted Balamir Gündoğdu, Secretary General of Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality. President Kocaman and Gündoğdu examined the station area of the Kartepe Cable Car Project, which is Kocaeli's 50-year dream, which will start from the Derbent region.
COMPANY OFFICIALS ANNOUNCED THEIR PROJECTS
Secretary General Balamir Gündoğdu, as well as Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality Head of Science Department Ayşegül Yalçınkaya and 3 company representatives who bid for the cable car project, participated in the review hosted by Mayor Kocaman. Company representatives gave technical information to Gündoğdu and Kocaman about their projects.
IT WILL ADD VALUE TO KARTEPE
Drawing attention to the importance of the project, General Secretary Gündoğdu stated that they will receive the bid files from the companies on January 25. The project will be approximately 5 kilometers long and will be built on 2 stations. The line, which will consist of 10 cabins for 73 people in total, will be able to transport 1500 people per hour. In fact, the journey will take 14 minutes. The project is expected to be completed in 500 working days.

Noting the importance of the project for Kartepe and Kocaeli, Kartepe Mayor Mustafa Kocaman said, “It was an important day for our cable car project, which will be the most important tourism investment of our district and our city, with the decision to be made by our Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality. At the station area in our Derbent District, our Metropolitan Secretary General, Mr. Together with Balamir Gündoğdu, we listened to the technical information presentation of the 3 companies that bid on the project and consulted on the spot. For his determination and efforts from the beginning of the ropeway project investment process, our ENT President Mr. Assoc. Dr. I would like to thank Tahir Büyükakın and his valuable team for their efforts. Our ropeway construction process will accelerate with the receipt of the bids and the determination of the contractor company on January 25," he said.
