Upon the request of public transport tradesmen in the city center of Antalya, it was decided to increase the transportation fees by 25 percent. With the hike, the public transportation fee, which was 4 liras and 10 cents, increased to 5 liras and 20 cents. The student fee was increased from 2 TL 40 kuruş to 2.65 TL. Student services were also increased by 25 to 29 percent.
The General Assembly of the Transportation Coordination Center Presidency convened today in the organization of the secretariat of the UKOME Branch Directorate of the Antalya Metropolitan Municipality Transportation Planning and Rail System Department. At the meeting, which was attended by representatives from many institutions and organizations, the demand for a raise of transportation tradesmen was discussed. With the decision taken, an average of 25 percent increase was made in public transportation.
With the decision, the full boarding public transportation fee, which was 4 TL and 10 kurus, increased to 5 TL and 20 kurus. Retired and teacher transportation fee of 3.65 TL was 4.50 TL, while the transfer fee of 2.40 TL was 2.65 TL for students, while the transfer fee was 1.50 TL. On the other hand, student shuttles and public transportation fees in the districts were increased by 25 percent to 29 percent at the meeting. It was learned that the new tariff will be put into practice together with all districts on Saturday, January 15th.
