In the Eurasia Tunnel, new tolls were calculated and finalized every year in January, and were put into effect on 1 February. A change has been made this year.
According to the news of Olcay Aydilek from KRT, the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure met with ATAŞ AŞ, the operator of the Eurasia Tunnel, and stated that the increase in tolls on bridges and highways operated by the public or private sector was made on 1 January.
The Ministry requested that the new tolls for the Eurasia Tunnel enter into force on 1 January. In this context, the one-way toll in the Eurasia Tunnel has increased from 1 TL to 2022 TL for daytime cars, from 46 TL to 53 TL for minibuses, effective from 69 January 79,50. Fees are applied as 50 TL for cars and 26,50 TL for minibuses, with a 39,75% discount in the night tariff.
How are tolls calculated in the Eurasia Tunnel?
In the project in question, while calculating the tolls of the new year (for example, 2022), the inflation data of the previous year in the USA (the USA, 2021 inflation was announced on Wednesday, January 12 and recorded as 7 percent), as well as the dollar rate, were also a basic parameter. .
This year, without waiting for the 2021 inflation in the USA, a hike in tariffs was made far below the formula for tolls. The difference between each passing vehicle will be paid to ATAŞ under the state guarantee.
