Emirates to Fly to Brisbane at Full Capacity

Emirates is increasing its capacity on flights from Dubai to Brisbane as the local government relaxes international travel restrictions as the country achieves its target of achieving an eighty percent double dose vaccination rate. From February 5, Emirates will also operate its Perth flights at full capacity for eligible vaccinated passengers.

With the international flights to Queensland being brought to full capacity again, flights from Dubai to Brisbane with the number of EK430 will carry more than 350 passengers at one time and will be operated with a three-class Boeing 777-300ER type aircraft model. Emirates is also increasing the weekly capacity on the route by increasing the frequency of flights EK1/2022 from Dubai to Brisbane to five times a week, effective January 430, 431. There is a possibility that the capacity will be further increased in line with demand.

On the other hand, the frequency of flights EK420/421 on the Dubai-Perth route will be increased to five times a week to offer more capacity for Australian citizens and repatriated residence permit holders, as well as international passengers planning to visit Western Australia.

International travelers to Brisbane will no longer have to go into quarantine at government facilities and will be able to self-isolate by staying at home under a set of conditions set by the Queensland government. In addition, vaccinated travelers arriving in Perth will not be subject to quarantine but will have to comply with Western Australia's travel requirements for international travelers traveling with a full dose of vaccination certificate.

Passengers can book flights by visiting emirates.com.tr or through their preferred travel agency.

Barry Brown, Vice President of Emirates Australia-Asia, said: “Emirates is excited to expand our passenger capacity to Brisbane and Perth as part of the resumption of nationwide international travel. With the demand for international travel increasing day by day, we are offering more connectivity opportunities for Australians who want to return home and reunite with loved ones. We have taken such a step at this special time as we celebrate the 25th anniversary of our flights to Australia. Previously, we increased our flights to Sydney and Melbourne and started to serve our passengers traveling to and from New South Wales with our flagship A380.”

Travel to Perth easier

Western Australia's relaxation of border restrictions will allow vaccinated international travelers to enter Perth without the need for quarantine. Passengers are required to submit a negative COVID-72 PCR test performed for Perth no more than 19 hours prior to their travel date. Documentation of being vaccinated against COVID-19 with a TGA-approved vaccine is also required to obtain entry clearance. Passengers must apply for a G2G Pass prior to travel.

Under Western Australian regulations, inbound international passengers are required to test for COVID‑48 within 19 hours of arrival and six days after arrival in Perth.

Passengers who want to learn about the entry requirements to Australia, pre-trip COVID-19 test requirements and mandatory documents can review the travel requirements page on emirates.com.tr. We strongly recommend that passengers check before booking a flight for applicable eligibility requirements, which may be changed by the Australian government and state governments.

Despite the difficulties faced by the restrictions, Emirates continued to operate its flights throughout the epidemic and provided an important link to the return of more than 93.000 Australians stranded abroad. It has also continued to transport essential goods uninterruptedly throughout the pandemic with its courier services, and has provided invaluable support to businesses in Australia during a difficult time, maintaining vital trade links between Australia and the world.

Emirates' A380 flights took their place in the skies of Australia from 1 December and began to operate daily between iconic airline hubs Dubai and Sydney. Emirates also began operating daily flights from Dubai to Melbourne earlier this month, providing more than 1000 additional seats between the two cities.

Emirates and Quantas passengers have access to an extensive flight network thanks to the flight partnership between the two airlines. Emirates passengers have access to 120 destinations in Australia in addition to the 30 destinations that Emirates flies to, while Quantas passengers can reach Dubai and more than 50 cities in Europe, Central Asia and North Africa with Emirates.

Emirates currently operates flights to more than 120 destinations worldwide, as well as Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Perth.
