Promising news continues to come before the meetings to be held on 7 and 9 December. The expectation for an increase in the minimum wage for 2022 salaries has exceeded 30 percent.
The second round of negotiations for the minimum wage increase will be held on Tuesday, December 7, hosted by Türk-İş. November inflation and the 5-month inflation rate of 10.48 percent between July and November also affected the minimum wage negotiations. Regarding the issue, President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan made statements before his visit to Qatar. President Erdoğan said, “They will reach a conclusion by meeting the Minister and his delegation. When the welfare share is added to the minimum wage increase, which is expected to be higher than inflation, the rate is expected to exceed 30 percent. With the tax support, this figure can increase even more.
