Considering the nearly 18 million data that Eleman.net has for the age group between 24-2, the provinces where young people seek employment the most are Istanbul, Izmir and Ankara, respectively, followed by Bursa, Kocaeli, Adana, Antalya, Gaziantep and Konya. .

10% of currently employed youth are looking for a job

According to the data released by the OECD in 2021, Turkey ranks as the 36th highest unemployment among 8 OECD countries in youth unemployment. According to Eleman.net's data, the rate of currently employed young people who apply for a job is 10%, while the rate of young people who are not working and looking for a job is 68.3%. 18% of the youth in the 24-21.5 age group who are looking for a job are students.

51.3% of job seekers are high school graduates

According to the statistics of Eleman.net for Turkey in general, 49.8% of the job seekers are men and 50.2% are women. The education level of job seekers was 51.3% high school, 20.6% associate degree, 17.8% undergraduate, 9.9% primary school and 0.4% postgraduate graduates.

Food ranks first in industry experience

Considering the sectoral experiences of the 18-24 age group, the food sector ranks first with 10.7%, this sector is merchandising/retailing with 6.8%, textile with 4.8%, education with 4.3%, health/hospital with 4%, and service with 3.6%. health with 3.2%, call center with 3.1%, tourism with 3% and restaurant business with 2.8%.
