It has announced 8,2 new projects worth $14 billion to renovate Kuwait's main airport in the capital, Kuwait City. The plan, announced by the Kuwaiti General Directorate of Civil Aviation (SHGM), includes a new terminal at Kuwait International Airport, the T-5, with an estimated cost of $25 billion and capable of accommodating 2 million passengers annually. A new runway and control tower have also been added to the project.

According to Gulf Construction's June report, 40 percent of the project has been completed. Gulf Construction noted that when completed, T2 will be one of the world's most advanced and environmentally friendly airports and an iconic gateway to Kuwait. Other planned projects include the aircraft catering building and security services project.
The foundation was laid in 2016
The foundation of the new terminal building of Kuwait International Airport, the contract of which was signed by Limak Construction in 2016, was laid with a ceremony attended by our President, Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, and the Emir of Kuwait, Mr. Sheikh Sabah Al–Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah.
The Crown Prince of Kuwait, the Prime Minister of Kuwait, many ministers from the two countries, ambassadors, Kuwaiti and Turkish businessmen, bureaucrats and members of the press attended the ceremony.
How to Get from Kuwait Airport to the City Center?
There are different alternatives to go to the city center from the airport at Kuwait International Airport, Gazali Expressway, Kuwait City, Kuwait. Passengers can go to the city center by bus.
