The existing Akçaray Tram Line will be connected to Kuruçeşme by passing from Plajyolu Station to the opposite side of D-100 upon completion of the works. Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality teams intensively continue their work in the field with pedestrian overpass, tram overpass, infrastructure and superstructure works.
INFRASTRUCTURE MANUFACTURING ON THE OLD D-100 ROAD
The teams of the Metropolitan Municipality Science Affairs Department had closed the D-100 road Kuruçeşme crossing, where the traffic lights are located, to traffic in the past months. The D-100, which has been taken on its new path, is now flowing quickly without traffic lights. Metropolitan teams are working on the construction of storm water and wastewater infrastructure line on the old D-100 road. In addition, within the scope of other works, the productions for the construction of pockets in front of the D-100 Highway Izmit High School continue.
FOOT MANUFACTURING ON TRAM OVERPASS
The existing Akçaray Tram Line will be connected to Kuruçeşme by passing from Plajyolu Station to the opposite side of D-100 upon completion of the works. In order to provide this transition, a tram overpass with a length of 290 meters and a length of 9 legs and 8 spans is being built. Within the scope of the tram overpass works, the production of bored piles for the foot on the Plajyolu side was started. While the production of bored piles on the middle and side abutments of the Kuruçeşme side of the bridge was completed, the construction of the columns began.
TWO NEW PEDESTRIAN OVERPASS IS COMPLETED
Elevators are being installed in the two new pedestrian overpasses built in front of the private hospital and Izmit High School at the entrance of Kuruçeşme. It is aimed that the new overpasses, many of which have been completed, will serve the citizens in the near future. The pedestrian overpass built in front of the private hospital has a length of 59 meters, and the pedestrian overpass built in front of the Izmit High School has a length of 52 meters.
TRAM LINE WILL REACH 23,4 KILOMETERS
With the completion of the Kuruçeşme tram line, the length of the Akçaray tram line will reach a double line of 10 thousand 212 meters. The single-line length of the tram will reach 3 kilometers, with a 23,4-kilometer single-line warehouse area. With Kuruçeşme station, the number of stops will reach 16.
