Adnan Ünverdi, Chairman of the GSO Board of Directors, said that the decision regarding the construction of the Gar Restaurant as a VIP hall should be reconsidered.
President Ünverdi stated that Gaziantep Gar Restaurant is a place with a spiritual value for Gaziantep with its 60-year history, and said, "The Republic of Turkey State Railways (TCDD) should reconsider its decision to build a VIP lounge."
Noting that each city has its own special places that have witnessed the years and keep the memories alive with its historical past, Ünverdi stated that Gaziantep Gar Restaurant is a place that lives with its 60-year history and has a spiritual value.
Noting that the Gar Restaurant has an important place in the cultural structure and gastronomy of the city and that it should survive, Ünverdi said, "Unfortunately, we are all saddened by the 15-day deadline for the closure of the historical restaurant, we hope that it will be approached with common sense and this decision will be abandoned without losing the value of our city." .
