An introductory meeting was held for the 7rd Istanbul Marathon, which will start on November 2021, 43. The introductory meeting for the 43rd Istanbul Marathon of N Kolay was held at Swissotel in Şişli. Emphasizing that the N Kolay Istanbul Marathon is a unique organization as it is the only race in the world to be run between two continents, İmamoğlu said, “Perhaps the best moment, one of the healthiest and most enjoyable ways to discover the details of this city is to be a part of this marathon. I think everyone living in Istanbul should be able to cross that bridge by walking or running, even if it is once in their life.” Pointing out that as Sports Istanbul, a subsidiary of IMM, they have reached 2 thousand children throughout the year with 19 branches, including e-sports, in 100-month periods, İmamoğlu shared the information that one out of every 3 children aged 15-200 in Istanbul attends IMM Sports Schools.
A CALL FOR SPORTS FEDERATIONS TO COOPERATE
Emphasizing that they aim to instill the "spirit of Olympism" in the moments by directing children and young people to branches with low demand, İmamoğlu also made the following call to the federations that manage different sports branches:
“At this point, I know that we are doing valuable organizations that are in harmony with the Athletics Federation. But I would like to make my call to all other federations in this sense: We, as Istanbul, want to host an international event. I would like to declare that I wish and wish to cooperate with all federations on this issue. While Onur conveys the details about the organization; Çintimar shared information about the elite athletes who will participate in the marathon. Çintimar emphasized that there were 8 elite athletes who participated in the marathon from Turkey 2 years ago, and this number increased to 43 in the 23rd Istanbul Marathon of N Kolay. Adaca stated that they determined the slogan of the marathon as “Look at Istanbul, look at running”.
20 THOUSAND PEOPLE WILL PARTICIPATE IN THE PUBLIC RUN
N Kolay 43rd Istanbul Marathon will start on Sunday, November 7, 2021. N Kolay 43. Istanbul Marathon, which is the only intercontinental marathon in the world; There will be a limited number of participants in the 42 kilometers and 15 kilometers categories. Within the scope of the marathon, an 8-kilometer public run will also be held. Along with a team of 42 people, 9000 volunteers will take part in 1500 organizations. In the marathon; There will be a total of 100 chip runners from more than 42 countries, with 5.000 (50 of them elite) in the 15km category and 15.000 in the 20.000km category. In the People's Run, 20.000 Istanbulites will sweat.
