President of the Turkish Presidency of Defense Industry Prof. Dr. İsmail Demir announced on his Twitter account that the AKSUNGUR Armed Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (SİHA) was delivered to the Turkish Naval Forces.
Emphasizing that AKSUNGUR, developed by TAI, has a useful load capacity of 750 kg and a maximum flight time of at least 50 hours, Demir stated that the tests were completed successfully.

AKSUNGUR MALE class UAV System: capable of performing intelligence, surveillance, reconnaissance and attack missions in all weather conditions day and night; It stands out as a Medium Altitude Long Stay Unmanned Aerial Vehicle system that can carry EO/IR, SAR and Signal Intelligence (SIGINT) payloads and various air-to-ground munitions systems. AKSUNGUR has two twin-turbocharged diesel engines that can reach an altitude of 40.000 feet and allow the most demanding operations to be completed with their ability to stay in the air for up to 40 hours.
No detailed information was given about the AKSUNGUR configuration delivered to the Naval Forces Command, but it seems that the Attack Concept has been delivered. The work on the Sea Patrol concept continues. However, it is not known when the vehicle will be delivered.
