Kocaeli Metropolitan Continues to Enlarge Its Bus Fleet in Transportation

Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality continues to expand its bus fleet in transportation. After 40 buses, of which 129 were delivered, the contract was signed in the past months, the Metropolitan will now hold a tender for 90 buses.

A TOTAL OF 219 BUS PURCHASES IN TWO YEARS

Having brought a total of 219 buses to the city in two years, the Metropolitan will thus provide better quality service to the citizens. Compressed natural gas (CNG) comfortable buses will also allow city residents to travel faster and safer.

TENDER IS THURSDAY, OCTOBER 14

The Metropolitan will hold a procurement tender for 14 buses on Thursday, October 90. The companies participating in the tender, which will start at 14.00, will compete for 20 buses of 18 meters, 30 buses of 12 meters and 40 buses of 9 meters. 9-meter vehicles will be used on lines with narrow streets and difficult to enter.

90 BUS WILL BE DELIVERED IN 180 DAYS

A contract will be signed with the relevant company after the tender is made and the winner of the tender is determined. After signing the contract, the company will deliver 90 buses to Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality within 180 days.

129 BUS WILL BE DELIVERED UNTIL THE END OF THE YEAR

On the other hand, 84 12 meter and 36 articulated CNG (Compressed natural gas) fueled and low-floor (A group) BMC, 7 12 meter (C group) Mercedes and 2 8 meter (B group) Otokar brand buses, which are under construction, will be delivered to the end of the year. ECO-FRIENDLY, 5 YEAR WARRANTY

Eco-friendly compressed natural gas fuel (CNG) system buses, spare parts and service guarantee for 5 years. The buses, which have two different dimensions as 90 and 160 passenger capacity, have a more powerful engine system than their peers with fuel saving, ramp traction performance.

SAFETY IS AT THE FOREIGN

The buses, in which the safety aspect is also prioritized, have a collision and safety warning system. Equipped with anti-sway braking and safety systems, the buses also have a fully automatic passenger disinfectant system.

Attracting attention with its spacious interior, the buses have electronic passenger information screens and systems, in-car security cameras, panic button, nano-technology anti-bacterial seats and upholstery.
