Bursa Culture, Tourism and Promotion Association will participate in the 'Seatrade Cruise Global Fair' in America, where world cruise port operators and tour operators take part, and will take a step towards taking Bursa to the Eastern Mediterranean cruise route.
Bursa Culture and Tourism Promotion Union, which continues its efforts to highlight the tourism, historical, cultural and tourism features of Bursa, held its Assembly Meeting in September 2021. The meeting in the Metropolitan Municipality New Service Building Assembly Hall was chaired by the Mayor of Iznik, Kağan Mehmet Usta. Kağan Mehmet Usta, who said that they put tourism-related meetings, fairs and organizations on their agenda again thanks to the success achieved in vaccination, stated that they started to see Russian tour operators in Bursa after the Moscow International Tourism Fair they attended in March. Stating that they made a one-year agreement for the 32-minute Bursa documentary they prepared to be shown on the domestic screens of Turkish Airlines passenger planes, Usta said, “The meeting held in Florida, USA on 27-30 September, bringing together the cruise giants and the representatives of the ports that host cruise ships in the world. We will take part in the 'Seatrade Cruise Global Fair'. At the fair, where tour operators will also participate, we will work on taking Bursa to the Eastern Mediterranean cruise route. Gemlik is very suitable for this business, especially since it is customs. We want these ships to have a route to Bursa. Our transportation sponsors in this study were Turkish Airlines and TIKA.”
At the meeting, it was decided to participate in Van East Anatolia International Travel and Tourism Fair and Izmir Travel Turkey Fair.
