China has started the construction of a new section of the "West-East Gas Pipeline" as part of a giant project. The energy transfer project in question is the giant pipeline built to transport the natural gas of the western regions to the east of the country. This 2-kilometer new section starts in Zhongwei city of Hui Autonomous Region in Ningxia, located in the northwest, and reaches Ji'an city of Jiangxi, one of the eastern provinces of the country.
PipeChine company, which is responsible for the construction works, has announced that this section of the line will carry up to 25 billion cubic meters of natural gas each year, through the existing gas pipes covered by the west-to-east gas transport project, as soon as it is put into service.
On the other hand, according to the same company, the project will provide clean energy supply to all regions along the line route and will lead to optimization in the energy structures of these regions.
