Mayor Soyer said that they are happy that the city hosts such an exhibition and said, “I would like to express my gratitude to the archaeologists who trace the ancient culture of Anatolia. Because as history comes to light, clues of humanity's immense accumulation and ancient culture are revealed. That's why it's so valuable. Humanity started a settled life from hunting and gathering in this fertile crescent land. That's why we're very proud," he said. President Soyer also wrote about his feelings in the exhibition diary.
Ferit Mızraklı, President of İzmir Şanlıurfa Federation, said that they aim to promote Göbeklitepe with this exhibition, and stated that their aim is to build a bridge between the two cities.
