Otokar, one of the Koç Group companies, took part in Europe's first face-to-face automobile fair, IAA Mobility 2021, with its 12-meter urban electric bus after the new type of coronavirus pandemic. Kent, powered by Otokar's Webasto batteries, which has made many innovations in fields such as alternative fuel vehicles, smart cities and safe transportation systems with its R&D expenditure of 10 billion TL in the last 1,3 years and has the title of Turkey's first electric bus manufacturer. The Electra bus transported passengers throughout the fair.
Otokar's electric bus, which offers comfortable and safe travel to millions of passengers in more than 50 countries around the world, especially in Europe, served on the “Blue Lane” line allocated for emission-free vehicles at IAA Mobility 2021. Kent Electra, in cooperation with Webasto, traveled over 6 kilometers between the fairground and the city center for 1000 days and carried more than 2 thousand fair visitors.

Kent Electra with Voith gearbox, developed at Otokar R&D Center, attracted attention in Munich with its design, comfort, technology and innovative solutions in the field of security. Kent Electra, which can offer a range of over 300 kilometers on a full charge, depending on the topography and usage profile, won the admiration of passengers at the Munich IAA Mobility 2021.
